Pandu Pokhar

We are taking this chance to introduce Pandu Pokhar an entertainment park which is also a picturesque beauty spread out in an area of 22 acres, parallel to the foot hills of Rajhara hills in Nalanda district of Bihar. It has historical significance dating back to Mahabharata Times. It is believed that when King Pandu attacked Rajgriha(current day Rajgir), the present PANDU POKHAR was converted into a horse stable. Later, when his army left Rajgriha, a swale was created in this area due to the hoof marks of the horses. With time water started accumulating in this swale and people started using this swale as a pond. POKHAR in local language means pond. Therefore, it is now called PANDU POKHAR.
